The objective of this grant is to deliver a SMART Document Camera to every K-5 classroom district wide. SMART Document Cameras are easy to use and integrate into almost every part of the curriculum at all grade levels. Thanks to community support, the Foundation was able to raise enough money to implement SMART Document Cameras in every 4th and 5th grade classroom DISTRICT-WIDE. Units have been delivered and the District will be training all impacted staff over the next few weeks. What a great way to kick off the 2011-12 school year!!!! Prior units (those purchased with PTO, Foundation, or Unit budget dollars) will be repurposed into other grade levels and/or special areas as appropriate to best leverage the technology in each individual school.
This grant is just one way that the Foundation continually strives to "engage the community for the benefit of Elmbrook students and schools" and "promote educational excellence" through its grant program.
